TGV, Thalys, Talgo and Eurostar are different trains with access to Montpellier! If you fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport you can also take a high speed train directly from the airport that will get you in Montpellier, which is a nice and greener alternative to taking a connecting flight to Montpellier. Starting on the 1st of July Montpellier will have two train stations: the downtown train station, called Montpellier Saint Roch, and a new station a few km from downtown, called Montpellier Sud de France. The Montpellier Saint Roch station is within walking distance to the congress venue and in the down town centre, with easy access to hotels, restaurants etc. Access to Montpellier Sud de France by public transportation from downtown currently involves connecting by tram AND bus. Plan sufficient time to reach the train station if you depart from there. In any case, if you wish to travel by train pay attention to the train station your train is traveling to or from when scheduling your trip.
